MDP provided design solutions to not only develop an efficient MEP system, but also to create a quiet and comfortable environment for students and educators. The project was a10,000 SF renovation of the existing 5280 Charter School. MDP’s scope included replacing three rooftop units with more efficient models; providing carbon dioxide sensors and controls interface for demand control ventilation; replacing noisy gas unit heaters with hot water heating coils connected to the existing boiler system; adding new low flow plumbing fixtures; and adding all new efficient LED light fixtures/luminaries with daylight and occupancy sensors to save energy.
