Mechanical Design for replacement of a chiller serving hospital data centers and administrative areas. Our initial design scope included plans for temporary cooling in the data center during construction to maintain uninterrupted cooling. Our scope also included Architectural and Structural coordination due to roof openings required in order to drop the chiller. The roof was subsequently repaired once the drop was completed. The controls were also upgraded to interface with the existing hospital building system. The chiller was airlifted via helicopter and dropped through openings in the roof.
