MEP Electrical Engineer with PE license

Employment Type: Full-Time

 

MDP Engineering is looking for an Electrical Engineer with 5+ years of experience in commercial design projects, including office, hospitality and multi-family residential. The position requires strong leadership, communication, technical and organizational skills.

 

Specific job duties will include:

 

  • Commercial power-distribution system one-line diagrams, fault-current calculations, protective device series rating and selective coordination, lighting controls, photometric calculations, and lighting/power circuiting design.
  • Participation in the planning, development, and preparation of construction documents.
  • Prepare reports of findings and recommendations, cost estimates, specifications
  • Conduct field surveys, engineering calculations, and assessments of existing building electrical systems.
  • Interface with clients on a regular basis.
  • Mentor junior engineers
  • Project Management.
  • Supervise a team of up to 4 employees.

 

Qualified candidates should possess the following:

 

  • 4-year degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering.
  • PE license required.
  • 5+ years of professional experience.
  • Knowledge of building, energy, and electrical codes.
  • Experience with LEED Certified projects.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD, Visual and REVIT.
  • Ability to contribute to several projects simultaneously, while meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Administrative Assistant

We are looking for a detail oriented, enthusiastic Administrative Assistant to join our team!

 

MDP Engineering is located in Downtown Denver and offers an exciting work environment and unmatched professional culture. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and customer service skills with two years of administrative background. The qualified candidate will be a self-starter that is comfortable working with all levels of management as well as with other team members.

 

Responsibilities of the Administrative Assistant:

 

  • Responsible for answering and directing all incoming telephone calls.
  • Sort and distribute mail daily.
  • Facilitate with internal office presentations.
  • Enter vendor invoices into accounting system.
  • Monthly credit card reconciliation.
  • Assist with company event planning.
  • Responsible for ordering all office supplies, groceries and office lunches, as needed.
  • Assist with drafting proposals and project related correspondence.
  • Complete clerical and filing functions as directed.
  • All other administrative duties as needed.

 

Qualified candidate will possess the following:

 

  • Minimum of 2 years administrative experience.
  • Extensive Microsoft knowledge and proficiency.
  • Professionalism and ability to be discreet with confidential and sensitive issues.
  • Excellent verbal communication, written communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects.
  • Ability to work independently, assist with a variety of projects and be assertive as appropriate.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, English, Journalism, Marketing or Communication or similar field required, or student working towards one of these degrees.
  • Experience in the A/E/C or HVAC industry a plus.
