MDP Engineering Group has an opening for an Electrical Engineer. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years’ experience with mid-to-large size commercial design projects, including office, retail, hospitality, restaurant and multi-family residential. The position requires strong leadership, communication, technical and organizational skills.
MDP Engineering Group was Co-Founded in 2009 by brothers Michael and Dimitri Passas. Our Principals and the majority of our Project Managers have worked together for over 10 years. These legacy relationships guarantee the effectiveness of our project teams. MDP has grown into a firm with 40 dedicated, innovative employees and a project range from nationally recognized brand names to boutique Colorado-based buildings. Recent projects include the Maven Hotel at Dairy Block and The Grand Luxury Apartments next to Union Station.
MDP Engineering Group is located in downtown Denver, just two blocks from the 16th Street Mall and the Denver Pavilions. We are easily accessible by a number of public transit routes and provide each full-time employee with an RTD EcoPass to fully explore the transit options. 4-year degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering
3-5 years’ professional experience
Professionalism and ability to be discreet with confidential and sensitive issues
Ability to work independently, assist with a variety of projects and be assertive as appropriate
Knowledge of building, energy, and electrical codes
Experience with LEED Certified projects and a passion for sustainability
Proficiency in AutoCAD, REVIT, and the Microsoft Office platform.
Prepare reports of findings and recommendations, cost estimates, specifications, conducts field investigations, contract specs, bidding documents and standards
Perform difficult engineering work in the planning, development, and preparation of construction documents
Regularly interface with clients, owners, and vendors in a key leadership role
Mentor junior engineers
The Electrical Engineer position is full-time, and salary is based on experience.
